WEP-M+2 Project
This is another mathematical project, based in London, UK.
The project aims to find the factors (ie integer divisors) of Mersenneplustwo numbers. WEP-M+2 (wanless2) is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to do research in number theory. You can participate by downloading and running a free program on your computer.
The applications are headed "Random-base WEP Factorization". Seems to be another mathematical project as they mention Mersenne Primes. Mersenneplustwo numbers are those integers that are two more than a Mersenne prime. Mersenne primes are of the form 2^p-1 (http://www.mersenne.org/). This makes Mersenneplustwo numbers of the form 2^p+1.
Current applications available are:
- Linux/x86
- Mac OS X
- Linux/AMD64
- Linux/AMD64 (pc)
