New Team Forum is ready!

The new team forum is up and running at http://forum.boinc-australia.net/ and links on our website have been updated to match. We were able to import members details and some other settings from a corrupted backup but otherwise we are starting from scratch. User passwords are not working, so you will need to reset it the first time you (try to) log in.

The team forum, hosted by XSOrbit.com, has been down all week. We have no idea at this stage if and when it will come back up and we may end up replacing it. The current alternate forum can be found by clicking on the "Team Forum" link at the top of our home page. Note that you will need to register there if you haven't already.

AA16 is underway

Aussie Assault 16 runs from 1 to 14 December inclusive. We are running two projects this time: ClimatePrediction (CPDN) and ABC@home.

We encourage members to give these two projects a large(r) share of CPU power for the two weeks of the Assault.

AA15 is starting on 1 October

AA14 on 3x+1@home was one of our smoothest runs and we managed to hold on to 1st place.

AA15 will run from 1 October to 14 October inclusive and Rosetta@home - the perennail bridesmaid - is finally the subject of an AA!

AA13 on Milky Way was a great success and ran longer than usual, with us consolidating our second place and giving us a gap of nearly 20 million credits to the third placed team. It is now time for us to consider where the next Aussie Assault will be!

AA12 Completed - where to next?

Aussie Assault 12 is now over and we can all devote our CPU time to our individual pet projects again.

As expected, we did not gain any positions but built up a buffer to the teams behind us.

If you do not have a pet project, consider running MilkyWay@home or one of the projects in which the team is not in the top 20

We invite members to take part in the bunny race at WCG (World Community Grid). It runs from 1 March to 23 March Inclusive and many teams are taking part. How much of your CPU power you commit is entirely up to you!

Happy New Year to everybody. 2007 was a great year for the team with explosive growth that saw us become one of the top 10 Teams in the world. Thank you to all who helped us get to that position!

AA10 is now officially over and it was a successful Assault. The team moved up to 28th position in WCG - the highest position we have ever achieved there. Thanks to all members and guests who helped make it possible!

As some of you have noticed, the forum is down again. It's hosted in the US and there's nothing we can do here other than wait for it to come back up. Hopefully Dingo will alert them if it is still down when he wakes up in Canada. Update: Forum is back online

Aussie Assault 10

AA10 has commenced. The target was to be Rosetta@home. However, as that project has major problems at the moment, we decided to target WCG (World Community Grid) instead. Members are encouraged to give extra resources to this project for the first two weeks of December.
